Beckett's equipment - the techie's page

Beckett run their microphones into an 8 channel Studiomaster desk, through a rack of Rane EQ and JSH Digitech Delay, into 2 x 1000Watt Matrix/UKP and 2x700Watt Zeck PT7 amplifiers, through a Bose 502C system controller, feeding Bose 502BP Acoustimass Module bass enclosures and Bose 802 series mid/top units. Foldback is through a  2 x 400Watt TOA DPA-800 amp and Cloud Zone Mixer CX133 feeding 1x12 and '1x12 & horn' cabinets.

Arthur plays a Gibson Les Paul (one of several from his guitar collection) through his pedalboard into a Crate Powerblock 150Watt amp and Marshall 2x12 cab; this is mic'd through the P.A. He plays an Ibanez mandolin too.  The pedalboard is made up of a a collection of Boss pedals: a Chorus Ensemble (from the 70s), a Blues Driver, a Super Overdrive, a DD3 Digital Delay, a Graphic Equaliser, a Chromatic Tuner and a Marshall Gun'nor.

Bill plays his ancient and trusty black Rickenbacker 4003 bass into a Trace Elliot AH300-7 amp and 4x10 cabinet. He swears that he is going to retire the Ricky and buy a Musicman bass... watch this space!

Kenny plays a Squier Stratocaster, in a sunburst finish and with a maple neck (...it's a custom 'cause the neck pickup is missing!) through a Marshall AVT combo.

Malcolm's drum kit is a new 'dw classic' maple shell; 22" bass drum, 16", 14" and 12" tom toms and a Yamaha metal shell snare drum, Istanbul hi-hat, and cymbals by Sabian, Zildjian and Paiste, all mic'd up through the P.A.

Michael plays a Korg X5D keyboard and a Roland RD-300SX  digital piano through a Torque T100K combo, and injected into the desk, too.

The lighting rig (eight cans with coloured gels arranged in 2 x 4 configuration,  and a pair of coloured floods) was put together and is controlled by Michael.
